10/27/24
A lean with athletic build with some twitch and lower ½ quickness. A runner with a 6.90/60 and will only get better with added overall size and lower ½ leg strength. Shows proper footwork in the outfield with his approach in coming through the baseball and getting into proper throwing position. The 78 mph arm also looks to get better as he gains added strength as and size, much like a pitcher looking to gain velocity. The arm works, just needs to add shoulder strength and lower ½ strength to use his legs to get under and power through the baseball. The bat shows some potential with an inline efficient stroke through the zone and fires his hips through after launch. The load is a bit deep and drawn back, creating an arm bar and limiting his bat speed overall, due to the bar causing more of a rotational armsy swing. Needs to shorten his stroke and limit the deep load to get to better and more quality separation. The swing and overall movement pattern of the swing needs tightening and less wasted movement. This can correct itself with the strength component as he will be able to use his larger muscles and tap into his twitch to create added bat speed, as his hand speed is sufficient and the base is there to work from. Will definitely keep an eye on his progress this coming spring.
