Trig Richards, Salem Hills (UT), 2027
Positional Profile: OF/LHP An athletic two way, that I can see as a hitter first and has a quality swing with more than solid data for his class and age. An athlete that can run, throw and projects pull side juice at maturity.
Body: 5-11, 168-pounds. A projectable 5-11 168, that runs near any and has a streamlined well prop athletic build with avg strength that projects solid over the next 3 years
Hit: LHH. Upright even prop square stance with his bat at shoulder height and rocks back with a slight draw back with the front leg and gets to near solid separation, yet has a quick fire striking motion on approach to the baseball, just before he gets to the full launch pos. Flatter plane with back spin LD's to the center and pull side in BP. Stays on plane well at 70-87% thruout his event looks. Barrel stays in the zone for contact 73.6 mph bat speed with 13 G's of rotational acceleration.
Power: 96 max exit velocity, averaged 91.1 mph. 358' max distance. Latent power as he drives back spin LD's vs loft approach. Stays on pitches and buries his nose to the ball to stay through the baseball. Back of the net type off a tee
Arm: LH. OF-83 mph. An 84 arm with a clean efficient arm stroke with 3 years to go, gives promise for an upper 80's to near 90 in due time
Defense: Tracks balls and gets solid jumps. Just needs to work as most do on his routes and footwork on his breaks to balls side to side and over his head. Will come with time and instruction
ATH: 7.09 runner in the 60. Near any runner at 7.09/60 and as his lower 1/2 fills and strengthens, look for some 6.7-6.8's in his future
Vizual Edge: 89.85 Edge Score
