Maxie has a lanky projectable 6-foot-1 frame. Left handed hitter that showed a nice hit tool on Wednesday night. Short flat path to contact and used the backside of the field in all three at bats. Stayed inside at contact and took what was given to him. In his first at bat he doubled down the third base line into left field, putting Mechanicsville up 1-0. In his third and final at bat of the night he hit a hard line drive, but it was right at the shortstop. Handled the velo well and got pitches in his count that he could handle. Nice initial in game look at the young left handed bat.

Maxie is 6-0 with a strong athletic frame that has some projection left to it. He hits from the left side from a slightly closed balanced athletic stance, heel lift stride in place, smooth load back. Hips rotate completely with some violence and he maintains some lower half balance. Hands stay inside, short to the ball, slightly uphill line drive swing path, showed a good approach using whole field, exit velocity was 81. In the infield, rounds the ball and fields with a wider base and above average hands, clean exchange, throws from a high three-quarters arm slot, position velocity was 68. Ran a 7.50 60 yard dash.
