3.10.16 Murphy is a lanky righthander that throws from a low three-quarters arm slot with a long, loose arm that is quick and generates velocity with some effort. His shoulders are closed and level as he strides out to a slightly closed landing before falling off a bit as he finishes. Murphy’s fastball had heavy run to it and sat 81-83, touching 84 twice. He threw a running change-up with good armspeed that was 73 and flashed a true slider with late 10/4 action that was 78.
