Swank has an athletic frame that he has added strength to over the winter. He has kept his speed and athleticism and still has projection left to his frame. At short, gets good first step on the ball and fields with a good base and soft hands. Very smooth, clean exchange and a loose arm action with an above average arm. At the plate, hits from the right side, short quick stroke. Line drive hitter who uses the whole field and has added some power this year. Projects to be a high average hitter with the ability to drive the ball for extra bases to all fields.

6.3.17: Swank has an athletic frame. At short, can make all of the plays, good quickness and soft hands. Exchange is quick and clean and arm has some carry. At the plate, hits from right side with a quick bat. Short swing, level with extension, slight pull tendency but can use whole field. 

5.4.17: Athletic frame, at shortstop has very good actions, quick feet and good lateral movement. Plays through the ball with a quick exchange, throws from a low three-quarters arm slot with a short, loose arm action and some carry on his throws. At the plated, showed some batspeed and discipline as well as the ability to handle the bat. Good in the leadoff role, should grow into the power to hit in the three spot.
