Cunningham is 6-2 with an athletic frame that has some strength present and some projection left to it. He hits from the right side from a slightly open balanced athletic stance, low leg kick stride on line, short load back. Hips rotate with some violence and he maintains good lower half balance. Hands stay inside, short and quick to the ball, slightly uphill line drive swing path, gets extension through the ball, showed a pull preference with the ability to use the whole field, doubles power present to all fields with some more to pull side, exit velocity was 93. In the outfield, gets body behind the ball and fields through it with average hands, clean exchange, throws from a high three-quarters arm slot, short arm action, position velocity was 79. Ran a 7.15 60 yard dash.
Body: 6/2, 175 pounds. Lanky frame with room to add strength.
Defense: Plays through the ball, catches it off his left foot, relaxed hands, clean exchanges.
Arm: R. OF - 81 mph. Accurate with carry, long arm actton, high 3/4 slot.
Hit: RHH. Balanced, sits into his legs, hands start just below back shoulder. Small load, short stride, quiet hands. Short, simple swing, two hand finish, lined balls to his pull side, average to above average barrel feel.
Power: 86 mph exit velocity from the tee. Average bat speed.
Run: 7.66 runner in the 60.
Cunningham has a long athletic frame at 6-foot-2, 165-pounds with room to add strength. At the plate sets up with square upright stance, hands set low, and simple stride forward landing on line. Hands make minimal load, short path to contact, and flat swing through the zone. The swing is low effort and has line drive tendency working gap to gap. Exit velocity was 86 mph. In the outfield works under control on approach, higher posture at catch, and clean exchange. Arm circle was long and loose from high three-quarter slot with a velocity of 81 mph. Home-1st time was 4.18.
