Power / Speed Score
A simple calculation that divides the athlete’s Exit Velocity Max by the athlete’s 60 Yard Dash time for the given event year. For example, 98 MPH / 7.00s = 14.00.
Miles is 5-9 with a strong athletic frame that has some projection left to it. He is a switch hitter, from the right side he hits from an open athletic stance, short stride on line, loads back into a bar, hips have violence and he maintains good balance during his swing. Slightly uphill path with some extension through ball, used whole field, strong at contact, more of a line drive swing from right side, exit velocity was 84. From the left side, he hits from an open upright stance, short stride on line, loads back into a wrap, hips rotate violently and he maintains good balance during his swing. Uphill path, short to the ball with strength at contact with some extension through ball, pull preference and exit was 85 from the left side. In the outfield, clean feet, rounds ball and fields with above average hands, quick clean exchange working through the ball. Throws from a high three-quarters arm slot, position velocity was 73. Ran a 6.85 60 yard dash.

Miles has an athletic frame with projection left to it and is a switch hitter. Saw him from the left side during this game, showed a quick bat with a shorter swing and the ability to pull the barrel inside to get it to any pitch. Uphill swing path leads to fly balls which works with his power potential, but he has top of the order speed as well, potential true three-hitter who can play centerfield with at least above average defense in center.
10.12.15 Miles has an athletic frame and hits from the left side. He has a slight crouch and high hands to his stance and has a smooth load with a short stride. He has an explosive lower half and a quick bat. He knows the zone well and is very quick on the bases. On the mound, Miles throws from a three-quarters arm slot with a drop and drive delivery. His fastball was 74-76 and touched 77 and was commanded well. He threw a power, 11/5 curveball with decent armspeed that ran 62-66. He slowed his arm on his changeup, but the pitch showed good fade and came in at 63.
