Sanchez has a lanky frame and the arm works. Lots of projection left to him. Throws from just below three-quarters with easier effort to generate his velocity. Fastball was 88-89 in the first, touching 90 once, with hard late run. He settled into 87-89 for the next few innings and tailed off to 85-87 in the fifth. He mostly held his velocity in the stretch, working 86-88 early and 84-86 in the fifth. Threw a slider early in the game that was 80-82. Switched to his curveball later in the game that was 70-75 with hard sharp 11/5 break and some armspeed. As a whole, command and control were both off the entire day, seemed like his feel wasn't there. Very cold night, he kept battling all night despite his struggles.
10.21.17 - The Rode Show
+ RHP Cristian Sanchez (Centreville HS, VA) pitched three innings to close out a win for Stars Baseball. He has a lanky frame and lively fastball, sitting 90-93, touching 94 a couple times in his first inning of work. He struck out four and allowed a hit and a walk. He is committed to Virginia.
9.29.16 - Long lanky projectable 6-foot-2 frame with room to add more. Has a controlled delivery with good tempo. Has a sound arm action throwing from a high ¾ slot. Creates fast arm speed and ball jumps out of his hand to the hitter. Fastball sat 87-88 touching 89 on the day. Breaking ball was 72-75 with fastball arm speed. High ceiling arm and should only continue to develop and get stronger.
