Jones is 6-0 with an athletic frame and a strong lower half, he hits from the right side from a slightly open balanced athletic stance. Strides on line, smooth load back, hips rotate completely with some violence, some balance during his swing. Level line drive swing with extension through the ball, strong at contact, showed good approach working gap to gap, exit velocity was 85. On the infield, gets body behind the ball and fields with average hands. Gains ground on transfer, throws from a three-quarters arm slot, short arm action, infield velocity was 74. On the mound, throws from a three-quarters arm slot with a short free arm action and some effort. Shoulders are level and slightly closed, lands closed with an athletic finish. Fastball was 76-79, touching 80 with some downward angle to it, two-seamer had some sink to it. Change-up was 68-72 with some sink and good armspeed. Curveball had gradual 11/5 break and some armspeed, running 65-68. Pitch has shape and potential as it tightens.
