Day is 5-10 with a lankier athletic frame that has plenty of projection left to it. He hits from the left side from a balanced athletic stance, low leg kick stride on line, short smooth load back. Hips rotate completely with some violence and he maintains good lower half balance. Hands stay inside, short to the ball, slightly uphill line drive swing path, strong at contact point and gets extension through the ball, showed a good approach working gap to gap, has a chance to grow into some gap power soon, exit velocity was 83. In the outfield, gets body behind the ball and fields through it with soft hands, clean exchange, throws from a high three-quarters arm slot, short loose arm action, position velocity was 77. Ran a 4.25 home to first. On the mound, he throws from a three-quarters arm slot, long free arm action with some quickness and normal effort to his delivery. Shoulders are uphill and closed, lands closed with an athletic finish. Fastball was 73-76, touching 77, with some late hard armside run. Curveball was 60-61 with good armspeed and gradual 1/7 break to it that has some shape and potential to sharpen into a good pitch. Change-up was 63-64 with some armspeed and heavy sink to it. Knuckleball was 61-66 some armspeed and tumble to it.
