McDonald is an East Carolina commit. Athletic frame with strength present in his lower half. Hits from the right side from an open athletic stance, hands stay inside, quick to the ball with strength at contact. Gets extension through the ball and generates a ton of natural loft. Showed a pull approach with some power present. Both swings in the video were balls hit to deep left for outs, the first more of a lineout and the second a very deep fly. More power in his future. Showed some baserunning skill stealing a base. Has some actions at second and some quickness in the field.
