Wortman DH'd in the game. Hit from the left side the entire game and he showed his usual short swing, barreling the ball in each at-bat and using the whole field. Level line drive swing and really does an outstanding job keeping his hands inside the ball with a good balanced base. The swings in the video are in order of his at-bats, the first one was a lineout to center, the second a base hit up the leftfield line, the third a line drive single to center. Wortman looks to be a hitter who will hit for high average and he still has some untapped power as he continues to add strength to his frame.

Wortman had a good weekend at the plate, hitting well from both sides. He is a true switch hitter who can hit for doubles power from both sides of the plate with a short swing and batspeed. His frame still has a ton of projection left to and as he adds strength that doubles power could increase to pull home run pop from both sides.
