Uncommitted. Athletic and sturdy 5’10” 185lb frame. Showed off the athleticism and arm talent on the mound during his start. The delivery was smooth, repeatable, and athletic with some real arm speed from a high ¾ slot. The arsenal was explosive. He ran the fastball in at 87-90, topping 91 with big time carry and high spin at ~2600rpm. Hitters struggled to get the barrel to it, missing under quite a bit. Off of the fastball, Davis threw a slider in the 77-78 range. The pitch was excellent, featuring tight, late 2-plane break with ~2700 rpm. The slider has all the makings of a plus pitch, and there’s some real arm talent present here with projection still left. Good follow here.
