Hanvey has a lankier frame that still has some projection to it. At short, he has quick hands and feet, covers a lot of ground and rounds balls well. Throws from a three-quarters slot with an above average arm. Arm can work at short, but would play up at second or third. At the plate, has some batspeed and showed a good approach. Worked gap-to-gap and barreled both times he faced velocity, staying inside and taking outer-third pitches into right center for singles. Batspeed suggests extra-base power when he turns on the ball. Did a good job of adjusting and going with the pitch in the base hit in the video.
