7.14.15 McEachern has a lanky, athletic frame and throws from a three-quarters arm slot with a tall and fall delivery. He has a long, loose arm action with a bit of a wrap and a lightning fast armstroke that generates velocity with some effort. His shoulders are uphill and he strides out online to a square landing before coming to an athletic finish with a slight recoil. McEachern’s fastball sat 77-80 and touched as high as 82. It had good downward plane to it and slight running action. His curveball had sharp 10/4 action and was thrown with full armspeed, running 64-69. His changeup was thrown with decent armspeed and had armside run, sitting 73-75. McEachern’s fastball and curveball command was very good.
