5-foot-11, 180-pound strong athletic frame. Displayed speed and athleticism at the event, recording a 60 time of 6.82. Starts in an athletic narrow stance with a rhythmic load, then uses a controlled toe tap stride. Bat speed was present quick, used a short upward swing plane and high balanced finish. Was able to create loud contact and found some barrels. Gap to gap line drive approach. Athletic projectable at the plate, the right-handed hitter recorded an exit velocity of 90 mph. (74.2 mph bat speed average). (22.0 mph hand speed average). Smooth athletic in the infield, displayed a velocity of 83 mph; has a quick natural exchange, soft sure hands, and athletic rhythmic feet. Fielded the ball out front with athletic movement laterally. Had a quick consistent arm action and a ¾ slot with consistent accuracy to the bag. Athletic confident on the mound, showing quick arm speed he had a ¾ arm angle with a compact quick arm action. Drop-and-drive type pitcher who shows some effort. During his delivery balance point is tall with even shoulders. Lands square with an athletic finish. Threw his fastball 81-84 mph; shows both sides of the plate feel command and late tailing action. (Max spin 2287; Avg 2204). Showed deceiving late action and arm side control on his tight 12/6 curveball (71-73). (Max spin 2096; Avg 1875).

Buchanan is 5-11 with an athletic 175 pound frame that has strength in the lower half and some projection left to it. He hits from the right side from a slightly open balanced athletic stance, two tap stride on line, short load back to a wrap. Hips rotate with some violence and he maintains good lower half balance. Hands stay inside, short to the ball, slightly uphill line drive swing path with some strength at contact and extension through the ball, showed good approach working gap to gap, power present in the alleys with room to grow into more, exit velocity was 93. In the infield, rounds ball and fields with a wider base and quick soft hands, works through the ball to a quick clean exchange, throws from a low three-quarters arm slot, short loose arm action, position velocity was 80. Ran a 7.24 60 yard dash.
