Sanchez was one of the best overall athletes at the event, with his combination of size, speed, strength, and explosiveness. At the plate Sanchez looks to have freed his hands up more allowing them to work better with more extension and loosen up some. Thought Sanchez had one of the more interesting workouts on the day and either way he will be one to keep an eye on whether after college or this season as his best years are in front of him.
6.27.17: Sanchez is 6-2 with an athletic frame and a stronger lower half, he hits from the right side with an open athletic stance. Short stride on line and minimal load back, good rhythm to swing. Explosive lower half and good balance to swing. Very short to ball, quick hands and a quick bat. Level line drive swing, pull tendency, has some power to pull side, exit velocity was 87. In the outfield, quick clean footwork, gets behind ball and plays through it, above average hands. Clean exchange, throws from a high three-quarters arm slot with a short, loose arm action, ball has some carry and accuracy, outfield velocity was 90. Home to first time was 4.12.
