4.11.16:  Shepard is an athletic righty that throws form a high three-quarters arm slot with a drop and drive delivery. His fastball had downward plane and late run, sitting 84-87 the whole game, touching 88. In the stretch his velocity fell to 79-83. He primarily threw an 11/5 power curveball running 71-72. Twice he flipped in a slow 12/6 curveball that ran 65. Shepard’s command was very good from the windup.
3.15.16:  Shepard is an athletic righty who throws from a high three-quarters arm slot with a drop and drive delivery. He has a quick arm and his shoulders are uphill as he strides out to a square landing. Shepard’s fastball had good plane and some run to it. He was 84-85 from the windup and 81-83 from his slide step. He was up for most of the outing, even more so when he was in the stretch. His curveball had sharp 11/5 action and ran 67-72. He showed a slider once that he buried off the plate very well to get a strikeout. The pitch had sharp 10/4 break and was 74.
3.19.15:  Threw from a high ¾ arm slot.  FB was consistently 80-83 mph on the night and flashed an 85.  FB was heavy.  Challenged hitters.  FB had good downward plane at times.  Breaking ball had a hard 11/5 action.  Good pitch.  Tight spin.  Sat 66-71 mph. 

2/22/2015:  Shepard stands 6-foot-0 tall and has an athletic frame.He has a smooth tall and fall delivery and throws from a high three-quarters slot. His arm action is long and loose and he has a lightning quick arm that generates velocity with easy effort. His shoulders are uphill and closed as he strides out on line to a square landing and a slight fall off as he finishes. Shepard’s fastball has late heavy run when thrown to armside and he sat 86-89 at the top of the zone with the pitch. His curveball has power 11/5 action that ran 70-72. He also threw a late, tight, 10/4 breaking slider that sat 73-76.
