Carter is 6-0 with an athletic frame that has some strength present and plenty of projection left to it. He hits from the right side from an open balanced athletic stance, low leg kick stride on line, smooth load back. Hips rotate completely with some violence and he maintains good lower half balance. Hands stay inside, quick to the ball, slightly uphill line drive swing, has some strength at contact and some extension through the ball, showed a good approach using the whole field, some power present in the gaps and to his pull side, exit velocity was 88. In the infield, gets behind the ball and fields with a wider base and above average hands. Works through the ball to a clean echange, throws from a lower three-quarters arm slot, short arm action, infield velocity was 69. On the mound, he throws from a high three-quarters arm slot, short free arm action and normal effort to his delivery. Shoulders are slightly uphill and on line, lands slightly closed with a slight fall off finish. Fastball was 71-73, touching 74, with some armside run that had a bit of depth. Curveball was 67-69 with good armspeed and sharp hard 11/5 downer break to it.
