We had a chance to see Easton this summer at the unsigned senior game and he was very intriguing to say the least. Easton is listed at 6-foot-1, but I would venture to say he is more in the 6-foot-2 range at least. Long limbs, thin frame, and plenty of room to add strength. Easton is an ambidextrous pitcher, but not necessarily in the true form. On Friday night he picked and chose when to switch, as it was not dependent on the hitters side. The fastball stayed in the 77-81 range from the right side and had some downhill plane to it. The breaking ball was 64-66 mph with 11/5 shape and got multiple swings and misses on that pitch. The changeup showed average feel at 73-74 mph and was definitely his third pitch. Easton is an uncommitted 2021 RHP/LHP that offers some intrigue late in the recruiting cycle for someone that is looking for a pitcher with projection left in the frame and arm.

RHP - 77-79 (80) FB 65-66 BB  68-69 CH 57 KN

LHP - 76-78 (78) FB 63-65 BB 66-68 CH 59 KN

Easton is 6-1 with a lanky frame that has plenty of projection left to it. He is a switch pitcher and can throw from either side. As a righty, he throws from a high three-quarters arm slot, longer free quick arm action and some effort to his delivery. Shoulders are level and on line, lands square with an athletic finish. Fastball was 77-79, touching 80, with downward angle and some late run to armside. Curveball had good armspeed and was 65-66 with very sharp hard 11/5 break to it. Changeup was 68-69 with good armspeed and some late sink to it. Knuckleball was 57 with good armspeed and late hard life. As a lefty, he throws from a low three-quarters arm slot, short free arm action and normal effort to his delivery. Shoulders are level and closed, lands square with a fall off finish and some recoil. Fastball was 76-78, with hard armside run and a bit of sink as well. Curveball had good armspeed and was 63-65 with sharp 1/7 break to it. Changeup was 66-68 with good armspeed and some run to it. Knuckleball was 59 with good armspeed and a lot of late life.
