Ben Alekson: RHP/OF, (2023) out of Stowe, VT. is an athletic 6-foot-3, 165-pound right-handed pitching prospect. At the plate, Alekson was ranked 2nd at this event, with an exit velocity of 87 MPH. He hits out of square, balanced stance and utilizes a short stride to get loaded on the back leg. The swing is on a flat plane through the hitting zone and gets good extension on his finish. On the mound, Alekson uses a simple, controlled delivery. He gets to a good balance point before heading down the mound in line with home plate. The arm works out of a high ¾ angle, producing a fastball 83-84 MPH with arm side running action. The breaking ball showed a good 12/6 shape at (66-67 MPH) and the changeup (75-76 MPH) had late sinking action.

6-foot-3, 165-pound right-handed pitcher and right-handed hitting outfielder. He is a legit prospect based off what I saw, as the ceiling is sky high. On the mound, the fastball sat 82-83 mph with arm side run and sink to it. The spin 69-70 mph with a solid shape to it. The changeup is 74-76 mph with good arm side action to it. The delivery is online and the slot is above 3/4 in height. The lift is solid in tempo and he showed forward lean to his movement. The arm is clean and free. Positionally, he threw 86 mph during the outfield portion of the workout. The approach is athletic and appropriate. The bat has an exit velocity of 84 mph as physical strength gains are warranted. The setup is wide in base and he uses a pick up and put down of the front foot as the ball approaches the hitting zone. The path is flat and long through contact with the baseball.

Exit Velocity- 84 mph

OF Velocity - 86 mph
