2022 MLB Draft League: Physical LHP is aggressive in the zone with four-seamer (94-96). Sharp, high-spin slider that has two plane movement with sweep. Quality reliever prospect.
Walling attended Oregon State as a freshman before transferring to Eastern Oklahoma State as a sophomore last season. The lefty was the No. 4 JUCO draft prospect by Prep Baseball Report heading into the 2021 Draft, but priced himself out and found his way to Starkville. Up to 96 already this fall (he's touched 98 in the past) Walling also has a swing/miss slider. He's likely to start for the Bulldogs or be a lock down back end arm.
2021 MLB Draft: Walling is a physical southpaw at 6-foot-2, 220 pounds and came to Eastern Oklahoma State via Oregon State. Now committed to Mississippi State, he runs his fastball into the mid 90s with three strong secondary offerings--a curveball, slider and changeup--all of which project to become average or better.
