7/22/20

Above average athlete with a high waisted frame at 6-foot, 180 pounds. Uses a simple, balanced set-up in the box. Starts with lower half just outside of shoulder width and front foot slightly open to pitcher. Front side begins closed with slight hip hinge at the waist. Low leg lift into a controlled forward stride. Slight push back with his hands to create stretch against front side. Creates impressive bat/hand speed with easy effort. Stays tall with a leveraged finish thru contact. Defensively profiles well to the OF with his size, strength and speed combination. Consistent footwork while moving laterally to the ball. Stays under control before accelerating thru the funnel process and into exchange. High separation with hands as he takes a side shuffle into throwing motion. ¾ release with aggressive follow through. On the mound, uses his strength and lower half well. Maintaining a clean, easy delivery with simple actions throughout. Medium height leg lift with slight bend on his back leg. Adds some flexion as he pushes down the slope and breaks his hands. Shoulders stay level into landing. Arm path gets extended then quickens up into a high ¾ release. Quick hand speed out front. Braces up with front side and halts momentum, allowing him to finish in a tall, upright position. Might be more in the tank as he continues to get more reps on the mound.
