Coronado is a physical 6-foot, 225-pound right-handed bat that took a handful of physical hacks during the first day of our PBR at The Rock 15u Championships, driving a triple into the opposite field gap and finishing the day with five RBIs.
Positional Profile: 1B/3B
Body: 5-11, 240-pounds. Thick lower half.
Hit: RHH. Balanced stance with a smooth back load. Leg kick stride with average balance. Showed good bat speed at 71mph via Blast. Level path with extension. Gap to gap approach. Flashed power to the pull side. Posted one of the top exit velos of the event at 93.3 mph.
Power: 93.3 max exit velocity, averaged 82.75 mph. 314’ max distance. Noticeable bat strength for age.
Arm: R/R. INF - 64 mph. Short arm stroke that finishes out of a high 3/4 slot.
Defense: Works quick off the bag, active feet that move well on double play feeds.
Run: 7.56 runner in the 60.
