Listed at 6-foot, 175 pounds, MIF Beau Bloxdorf (Union Grove, 2024) is one of the top middle infielders in Wisconsin’s 2024 class. The uncommitted to-be senior impressed defensively on Tuesday as he tossed 86 mph across the diamond and had one of the smoother rounds with his glove. Bloxdorf demonstrates athletic movement patterns and displays bounce up the middle. Paired with soft hands and clean footwork, Bloxdorf’s defensive capabilities were on display during live gameplay as well. At the plate, Bloxdorf takes on a taller, balanced setup and has a controlled load into a closed-foot plant. With athletic hands, he stays inside on the baseball with length through the zone. He caught multiple barrels that displayed backspin that lifted the ball with ease to all fields. In game, Bloxdorf doubled to right, piecing together a smooth swing that lifted a ball.

Hit: RHH. Taller, balanced setup. Controlled load into closed foot plant.  Athletic hands, stays inside the baseball with some length through the zone. Backspins off the barrel, worked to the opposite field. Easy with upside.  67.6 mph bat speed with 8 G’s of rotational acceleration.
Power: 89 max exit velocity, averaged 81.8 mph. 268’ max distance.
Arm: RH. INF - 86 mph. High 3/4 slot, accurate with carry.
Defense: Bounce, soft hands, quality actions, clean footwork.
Run: 7.23 runner in the 60.

Bloxdorf is a player that impressed our staff during the summer tournament circuit and at the Southern Wisconsin Open Event in the fall. He is a dynamic, twitchy athlete in the field and in his at bats. His swing is short and compact with the ability to hit fastballs and adjust to off speed pitches. He’s a player who consistently gets big hits and has consistent quality at bats. Bloxdorf is a reliable defender in the middle of the infield who will flash the ability to make the great play up the middle and to the back hand. He’s a high character kid who works hard at his game and will likely reach his ceiling because of it. 

Bloxdorf is listed at 6-foot, 160 pounds, with the frame to support more strength well. Bloxdorf, a right-handed hitter, impressed in batting practice, spraying line-drives to all fields showcasing quick hands and a hitterish feel to the swing and overall hit tool. He hits from a slightly open stance, uses his lower half well and fires his quick hands to the ball to make consistent barrel contact. Additionally, he displayed quick feet, soft hands and the ability to throw from multiple arm slots around in the middle of the infield. His arm was clocked at 84 mph across the diamond with carry and accuracy to the throws. The improvements Bloxdorf is showing offensively is boosting his prospect status, as he’s already established himself as a talented middle infielder on defense.

Body: 5-8, 135-pounds. Lanky, high-waisted frame with some upside levers.
Defense: Lower half shuffles around the baseball, hands work under center of body, corner infield profile.
Arm: RH. INF - 80 mph. Long arm action, over-the-top slot. Above-average arm strength for age, throws flashed carry to the bag.
Hit: RHH. Balanced somewhat crouched setup, steady hand rhythm into load, long stride to closed. Long and uphill bat path.
Power: Max exit speed measured at 80.78 mph during BP.
Run: 4.87 runner from home to first. 

Delivery: Tall and fall delivery, works with slight effort, lands square.
Arm Action: RH. Loose arm action, slight reach/pause on back side, gets to over the top slot.
FB: T80, 76-79 mph. Played with cut action, above average feel for the zone.
CB: 67-68 mph. Flashed 12/6 shape, with depth at times.
CH: 71-71 mph. Near fastball arm speed, showed slight fade action and feel for zone.

Body: 5-7, 125-pounds. Lean, high-waisted frame. Continued physical maturity.
Delivery: Tall/fall type delivery, upright pause at balance point, foot lands in line to target, falls towards first base side at times, downward follow through.
Arm Action: RH. Long arm action, high 3/4 slot.
FB: T70, 69-69 mph. Showed arm-side run and sink. Works best as a groundball producer down in the zone.
CB: 60-63 mph. 12/6 shape with some shape underneath, gradual action. Feel to spin. 
CH: 64-67 mph. Fastball arm speed. 

Hit: RHH. Crouched setup, closed front side, bat wraps at load, leg lift timing trigger.  Uphill bat path, inside/out type swing that works middle-away.
Power: 75 mph exit velocity from the tee.
Arm: RH. INF - 65 mph. Short arm action, 3/4 slot. Quick release, some accuracy to the bag.
Defense: Fields low to the ground with a steady two-hand gather out front, quick and clean hand transfers at times. Some feel up-the-middle.
Run: 8.58 runner in the 60.
