Our night cap featured an incredibly impressive arm with one of the highest ceilings in the class, if not the Midwest: Christian Oppor. Still uncommitted, Oppor routinely attacked hitters with his fastball through three innings at our PBR at The Rock 17u Championships, pumping it in at 89-93, touching 94 mph. With electric arm speed, advanced athleticism, and a projectable 6-foot-2, 185-pound frame, Oppor’s potential is truly immense.

Oppor started the day by showcasing his elite arm strength in the outfield where four of his five throws home were clocked at 95 mph. But his real impact was made on the mound where he took that same arm strength to top out at 92 mph. It's an extremely live arm that is just scratching the surface of its capabilities. There’s excellent athleticism in his actions that should develop into harnessing a well-above-average three-pitch arsenal.

Positional Profile: OF/LHP
Body: 6-1, 165-pounds. Thin, athletic build.
Delivery: Athletic delivery, works slightly rotational through landing, creates slight angle at times.
Arm Action: LH. Loose, clean arm action, plays out of 3/4 slot.
FB: T84, 81-82 mph. Runs to arm side, 2167 average spin rate.
CB: 61-63 mph. Sweeping type breaking ball.
CH: 61-62 mph. Fading changeup, showed sink at times.

Hit: LHH. Balanced stance, lifted stride, loads hands behind the baseball. Pull side approach, path works around the baseball at times, produced hard dpull contact with a top exit velocity of 94.5 off the bat in BP and two ball traveling over 350'.
Power: 85 mph exit velocity from the tee. Flashes pull side pop.
Arm: LH. OF - 83 mph. Loose athletic arm, plays true to target and online with carry.
Defense: Easy athletic actions, quick fluid footwork through the baseball, soft hands, natural defender.
Run: 7.28 runner in the 60.

Body: 6-foot-0, 155-pounds. Athletic shape and actions.
Hit: LHH. Balanced setup, slightly open with smooth in rhythm load actions, short stride, on time. In rhythm hitter, loose and athletic hands, occasional opposite field tendency, projectable bat.
Power: 83 mph exit velocity from the tee.
Arm: LH. OF - 89 mph. Long, loose arm action from a high 3/4 slot; natural carry.
Defense: Fluid, easy actions throughout; athletic approach, fluid feet, works through the ball.
Run: 7.07 runner in the 60.
