Uncommitted, currently ranked No. 184 in the state’s senior class. Athletic 5-foot-11, 175-pound frame with additional room to fill out. Vander Vliet was an interesting arm to know from the event’s gameplay, freezing multiple hitters with his fastball/curveball combo for two strikeouts over two scoreless innings. His fastball was 83-86 mph with arm-side life and sink out of the hand (20.6” max IVB), complimenting well with a tight curveball at 71-74 mph with a late bite. An uncommitted senior arm to keep an eye on as he continues to add on to his frame.

RHP Collin Vander Vliet (Brookfield East, 2027) features a clean, athletic delivery on a 5-foot-10, 175-pound frame. Operating from a compact 3/4 slot, the right-hander ran his fastball up to 84 mph, peaking at 2,306 rpm with 14.7 inches of induced vertical break and 2.9 inches of horizontal movement. He pairs his firm heater with a 74-76 mph breaking ball (2,298 rpm) that plays with 12/6 break, alongside a heavy-sinking 76-78 mph changeup that features 14.8 inches of armside fade. There is an ease to the operation that Vliet works with getting down the mound and through the baseball indicating that he will be able to work as a starter and be a durable one at that.

+ RHP Collin Vander Vliet (Brookfield East, 2027) showed some arm strength and arm speed on the mound during bullpen work. The sophomore right hander was up to 83 mph with the fastball with some serious carry through the zone at 18.9 inches of IVB. He also displayed the ability to land the curveball and showed some late depth at the plate with the change up. It was a notable look at Vander Vliet.
