A standout for Pewaukee this spring offensively, Doubek carries some upside attached to a lanky, high-waisted 6-foot-1, 174-pound frame. Doubek showed that in his BP round, using his levers to extend and elevate through contact, working gap-to-gap. He got ahold of one in game as well, driving it deep for a home run.
Doubek had a strong showing at the plate at our PBR Badger State Battle. The right-handed hitter started in a narrow/open stance, fluid rhythm, long stride, loose swing; made loud contact all day including a line-drive up the middle that screamed off the bat.
Positional Profile: OF/LHP
Body: 6-1, 174-pounds. Lanky frame, slender build.
Hit: RHH. Narrow setup, slightly open and tall. Slight crouch into load action, hands draw back with barrel tipped forward. Path works uphill plane, swing has some length, showed middle of the field contact.
Power: 90.16 max exit velocity, averaged 82.52 mph. 326’ max distance.
Arm: LH. OF - 87 mph. Long arm action out of high 3/4 slot.
Defense: Glove hand works out front, two-hand gather at times, long strided deliberate through the baseball, shuffles through exchange.
Run: 7.24 runner in the 60.
Delivery: Long levered delivery, deliberate tempo with wide leg kick into coiled balance point with hips loaded.
Arm Action: LH. Long arm action, works out of high 3/4 slot, lowers slot on some secondary offerings.
FB: T82, 79-81 mph. Plays mostly straight, four seam type. T1875, 1838 average rpm.
CB: 62-65 mph. 1/7 shape, occasional sweep action. T2090, 2043 average rpm.
SL: 64-67 mph. Sidearm slot, sweeping actions, plays lateral across the zone. T2035, 1965 average rpm.
CH: 68-71 mph. Lower arm slot, slight deceleration, fading action. T1528, 1472 average rpm.
