For a second time this summer, Nuetzel provided an electric outing for a one-inning stint on Friday afternoon. On the bump, the 6-foot-1, 175-pound athlete struck out the side on 14 pitches, utilizing a heavy fastball that sat from 86-89 mph, hitting 90 mph once. He paired that with a wipeaway slider, generating swings and misses in multiple looks. The two-pitch combination overpowered his opponents, as Nuetzel continued to raise his stock as an arm. His two-way abilities showed well too, as the switch-hitter went 3-for-3 with at least one hit from both the right and left side. After two successful looks over the summer, the right-hander has quickly emerged as one of the top uncommitted prospects in Wisconsin’s 2024 class.

Nuetzel is on the follow list after sitting 80-82 mph on Sunday, reaching an 83 high from a lanky, projectable 5-foot-11, 150-pound stature. His long levers aren’t yet synced up to repeat often enough, but as just a freshman, Neutzel’s size and early velocity are definitely worth monitoring.
