Hit: RHH. Balanced base, stands tall, quiet pre-pitch. Uphill plane, some feel for the barrel, uses the entire field. 68.3 mph bat speed with 14 G's of rotational acceleration.
Power: 98 max exit velocity, averaged 83.1 mph. 340' max distance.
Arm: RH. C-77 mph. Short, compact arm action, over the top.
Defense: 2.02-2.07 pop times. Smooth glove-to-hand transfer, natural actions, works in-line to second, active blocker.
ATH: 6.84 runner in the 60. 1.70 and 3.84 in the 10 and 30 yard splits. 24.40 max vertical.

+ C Brett Appel (Edgerton, 2026) opened some eyes on Sunday with his performance. Appel showed our staff that he is an explosive athlete by starting his day by running a 6.84 seconds 60 yard dash which was 3rd best of the event. He then jumped 27.2 inches for his vertical jump which checked in for 4th best on the day. With the bat, Appel showcased a short and quick swing and drove the ball up to 91 mph during batting practice. Behind the plate, he was a 2.00 seconds from home to second base with clean transfers and a short and quick right foot to turn the ball around quickly. This is our staff’s second viewing at Appel in a showcase setting and he has turned himself into a very intriguing prospect for the 2026 class.

Hit: RHH. Wide base, toe tap stride, repeats. Direct hands, slightly uphill path, line drives through the middle of the field, flashed feel for the barrel. 66.2 mph bat speed with 12 G’s of rotational acceleration.
Power: 82 max exit velocity, averaged 75.1 mph. 303’ max distance.
Arm: RH. C - 71 mph. Short arm action, over-the-top slot.
Defense: 2.15-2.26 pop times. Gains ground out of the crouch, clean release. Active blocker.
Run: 6.97 runner in the 60.
