Weist controlled the barrel well through the hitting zone and backspun balls through both gaps consistently throughout his round. On defense, the freshman showed impressive feel for the catching position and was able to turn the ball around with a solid 2.11 pop time with clean transfers and a smooth arm stroke through the ball. Weist impressed with the bat and the glove on Saturday.
