LHP/1B Kaydan Ensign (Burlington, 2028) is built at a mature 6-foot-2, 195 pounds and he put together an intriguing day on both sides of the ball. During his round of BP, Ensign shot line drives from gap-to-gap, maxing out at 87 mph on his hardest hit ball of the day. Defensively, he has a quick exchange on his throws across the infield and was an overall quality defender at first base. His ceiling on the mound is also high, working out of simple and easy delivery, he ran his fastball up to 74.9 mph. His breaking ball played with 2/8 shape and showed the ability to land it in the zone for strikes while also throwing it below for swing-and-miss. A developing changeup rounds out his three-pitch mix that was thrown at arm speed.
