7/11/18 - Defensively as catcher glove hand is soft and quiet in receiving and framing. Hott presents soft, square wall with maintenance of solid upper body angle in blocking. There is length to transfer and throw of 67 mph out of crouch. Recorded POP time best of 2.23.
At SS, actions are athletic with solid footwork present in working to the ball as well as in gaining ground on throws. Glove hand is soft and confident while funneling bottom up and out front. Showcased an accurate 79 mph arm on throws across the diamond.
Offensively, 5-foot-10 150-pound, right-handed hitter initiates swing from slightly open with short stride to neutral. Early hand leak reduces separation. Weight shift and hip turn are adequate. Bat path is flat and solid leverage is achieved. Barell feel was demonstrated with squaring of multiple balls during round of BP. A bat exit velocity of 77 mph was registered.
On the mound, the right-hander works out of a mid 3/4 arm slot showing ability to repeat moderate effort delivery. Stride is short and use of lower half is passive. Fastball sat 77-79 mph touching 80 with arm side run. Curveball at 67-68 had 11/5 shape and rolling action. Changeup was thrown with reasonable sell at 71-72 demonstrating intermittent arm side fade. Slider ws inconsistent but at best flashed 11/4 shape and moderate tilt at 74-75.
