Body: 6’0’’, 175 pounds. Athletic, projectable frame with noticeable strength in the actions. Hit: RHH. Open, slightly bent stance with a loose feel in the box; hands showed slight rhythm above the shoulder to start. Initiated his swing using a lift and replace stride, entering the hitting zone through a flat, leveraged path with thump to the pull-side. Showcased consistent hand speed at the plate (22.5 mph via Blast Motion) which translated over to standout bat speed (72 mph average). Wore out the LCF gap during his batting practice round while hitting into a strong and stiff front side at impact and was able to be adjustable on pitches down in the zone, aiding an impressive 39% line drive rate. Power: 92 mph exit velocity during BP per TrackMan. Current gap to gap pop with occasional home run juice to LF. More to come as he keeps holding more strength on the frame. Arm: RH. INF - 82 mph. High intent, high ¾ slot with a quick release (no restrictions); accurate across the diamond. Defense: Above-average footwork and looked like he had a plan on the approach of each route, utilized a quick first step to make decisions early and trusted the glove hand to work in and outside of his feet at the fielding window. Kept momentum moving towards the target with obvious ability to stay at the hot corner moving forward. Run: 7.68 60-yard time.
