2.24.19 - Offensively, the 6-foot, 210-pound primary Outfielder initiates his swing out of an athletic open stance. He uses his front foot as a timing mechanism. A real power threat from the left side of the plate.  Showed good athleticism by running a 7.06-laser timed 60 and registered a exit velocity of 91 mph off the tee.
Defensively, shows confidence in his glove hand by fielding the ball inside his body consistently. He does stay in line with his target and uses his body effectively. A overall solid defender. A 81 mph positional velocity was recorded.
7/12/17 Initiates swing from neutral set up with short stride .  Aggressive weight shift and movement away from hands results in good separation. Quick, loose hands help achieve bat exit velocity of 86 mph. Cummings is able to get bat on plane early and maintain plane late in hitting zone.  He stays behind baseball well and was able to consistently barrel ball in impressive round of BP.  There is some softness of front knee following heel plant. Rotating around a firmer front side should translate to bat speed gains.
