A look at just some of the top performances from the AHSAA 1A-6A playoffs from Friday:

Eli Giles, a 2020 RHP from Faith Academy, went 5 innings allowing 1 hit, 0 runs, 1 BB and 7 K's in a 9-1 win over Brewbaker Tech

TJ Reeves, Hueytown HS, was 5-7 in the doubleheader sweep of Clay-Chalkville. He also had 6 RBI's, stole home and had an inside the park homerun, he is an Alabama commit. His teammate, Will Collins, got the G1 win on the mound and was 5-5 on the day.

Josh Hall, Homewood HS, broke the NFHS national career stolen base record as he swiped his 212th stolen base in Homewood's doubleheader sweep of Minor. On the day, Hall was 4-4 with 9 stolen bases, Ole Miss signee

Westbrook Christian advanced to Round 2 in domination fashion defeating Verbena 31-0 and 13-0 in 2A action. Greyson Robinson threw a no hitter in G1 and had multiple hits in both games. Jordan Reynolds threw a 1 hitter in G2. Garret Kennedy, John Ross Morgan, Joseph Gilchrist, Cullen Stafford, Addison Ponder and Andrew Dutton all had big days offensively.

Calera's starting pitchers both threw no hitters in their sweep of Dallas County (10-0, 16-0). Jacob Smith, a Vanderbilt signee, struck out 12 and walked 1 hitter. Tyler O'Clair, a UAB signee, struck out 13 and hit one batter.

Head Coach Brett Boutwell of Saraland HS reached 300 wins for his career in a doubleheader sweep of Park Crossing. Next week, Saraland will be on the road at #1 Russell County. Russell County continues to get good pitching from all of it's front line guys. Hunter Milam, a Memphis commit, went 7 innings giving up 4 hits and striking out 14 for his 10 th win of the year on Friday.
