By: Zac Bottoms
Arkansas Scouting Director

As we climb into the top three we look at No. 3 Connor McCullough from Maumelle HS. McCullough had a good spring for the Hornets and may have been there most effective pitcher. He carried his momentum over from the spring to the summer. He started the summer off with a good outing at PBR Arkansas Top Prospects Games, where he garnered the attention of Oklahoma, he followed that up with another solid outing in the PBR Underclass Games. He took his unofficial to Oklahoma on July 1st and committed shortly after. Here is our report on Connor McCullough.

Connor McCullough, RHP, Maumelle HS
McCullough is a 5-foot-11 155-pound right hander with a medium frame and an athletic build. He struck out 6 in his 3 innings of work. He did this by locating his fastball 83-86 mph down in the strike zone and complimented it with a 11/5 curveball with depth thrown 71-73 mph. McCullough works with rhythm and balance throughout his delivery. His arm action is clean and loose from a H3/4 arm slot. As a 2018 grad the future looks bright for McCullough definitely a name to follow over the next three years.
