After a busy summer, our staff has overhauled the 2019 rankings. There has been significant movement outside the top 2 players.
2019 RHP/OF Blake Adams remains No.1; Adams has had a big summer; standing out as legitimate two-way prospects throughout the summer. Wrapping up the summer last week at Area Code try-outs in Long Beach California.
2019 C Cason Tollett remains at No.2. Tollett continues to show advanced defensive, while showing an improved offensive game, with some power production throughout the summer.
2019 RHP Landon McAllister has made the largest jump. He moves up to No.7 overall, after a dominate summer. McAllister is 6-foot-3 RHP that has shown the ability to pitch off his fastball which works 84-87 mph with late life through the strike zone. He also has shown a feel for the slider and change up. Making him a tough match up for most hitters.
Overall, we expanded the rankings from 75-100 players as we continue to learn more about this class and continue to see players grow, make gains, or go the opposite way as players are beginning to pass them as they have stayed the same. This class is intriguing as we move into the fall. There will most likely be movement in November when we reassess, as there is a group of players on cusp of breaking away from the pack.
