Initial Arizona Class of 2021 Rankings Released

Jordon Banfield
Arizona Scouting Director

Our first look at the freshman class in Arizona features the top five 2021 prospects that have been evaluated by PBR. Two-way prospect Brock Selvidge from Hamilton HS leads the way in the state as an exciting young hitter with an extremely advanced swing that also reaches the mid-80's on the mound from the left side. 6-foot-3 RHP/OF Augie Walters (Brophy Prep) showed off high-end potential on the mound and impressive athleticism at the PBR Fall Prospect Showcase in October. SS Barrett Skaugrud has an extremely high ceiling on offense as a LHH SS and could become an elite national prospect with continued physical development and improved throwing mechanics. Grand Canyon verbal commit SS Andy Moreno (Sunrise Mountain) is the only committed 2021 prospect in the state and a very advanced defender. Physical RHH Beau Ankeney (Desert Vista) rounds out our initial top five as the biggest power bat in his class with an impressive combination of bat speed and strength.

If we haven't had a chance to evaluate you sign up for our Freshmen FREE Showcase this Sunday December 10 at Sunrise Mountain HS. Get on our radar and potentially earn an invite to join Skaurgrud and Ankeney at the Preseason All-State Games in January at ASU. Sign up today and #BeSeen. Don't hesitate to email [email protected] or DM @PBRArizona on Twitter with any questions you may have.
