Future Games: Invite Accepted

Brett Thorney
State Scouting Director

PBR Future Games is set for July 29th-Aug 1st

Prep Baseball Report's one-of-a-kind event will feature the best uncommitted 2022 prospects and select 2023 prospects from our 40-plus state coverage area. The Future Games will take place on Wednesday, July 29th through Saturday, August 1st at LakePoint in Cartersville, GA.

The Future Games is the premier summer scouting event for Class of 2022 prospects and select 2023 prospects. Last year, more than 320 college coaches from all over the country were in attendance. The Prep Baseball Report services are subscribed by more than 800 colleges and pro scouts.

Players will also receive maximum visibility from college coaches all over the country, in addition to being promoted through the Prep Baseball Report multimedia platforms.

Each state team will play three games. On Wednesday, all position players will be put through a showcase workout in which they will run 60s, take batting practice and be evaluated at their primary position.

'22 RHP Hayden Lewis of Chaparral HS joins Team Arizona for the 2020 PBR Future Games.

2022 RHP, Hayden Lewis (Chaparral) was a standout back in January at our Preseason All-State Games at Arizona State. At 6-foot 155-pounds, there is projectability in Lewis' frame. He currently has some fast twitch actions and room to add strength. In January, he really stood out on the hill in a solid group of pitchers. He showed a noticeably fast arm from a 3/4 shot with whippy arm action. His FB sat 84-86mph paired with one of the best SL's in the class in Arizona, thrown with tight spin at 75-77mph. Hitters couldn't catch up to his stuff. Lewis is also a capable outfielder that we will look to possibly use as a two-way player. He showed some ability with the bat and his tools play defensively. Hayden Lewis is going to be a great addition to Team Arizona and we are looking forward to having him in Georgia for our PBR Future Games.
