Brophy Prep @ Sandra Day O'Connor 3/6/18

Jayce Easley, 2018, SS, Sandra Day O'Connor HS
Oregon State signee. Always athletic and live-bodied, Easley has begun to add some strength to his frame and it showed on a long home run to RCF. With a loose, easy rhythm and good separation in his swing, Easley shows the type of bat speed that could translate to the highest levels. Most likely projects to 2B or CF in pro ball, but has chance to stick at short for Oregon State. Did not get to see him leg out a ground ball on this day, but has shown to be a plus runner on previous looks.

Will Worthington, 2019, SS, Brophy Prep
San Diego commit. Shows advanced insists and feel for the game. Does not possess a standout tool but always performs when we see him. Solid defensive actions at short with the ability to throw comfortably from all angles with a quick transfer. Contact oriented approach on offense with advanced pitch selection and a flat swing plane. Likely to be a very productive college player at the D1 level.

Noah Nithman, 2020, OF, Sandra Day O'Connor HS
Uncommitted. Fast-twitch young outfielder shows bat to ball ability. Possesses some present strength with the type of high-waisted body that projects to add even more while maintaining his speed. Ran 4.38 turn from the left side. Instinctive defender gets good bat reads. Arm is only thing presently holding him back from being a high-end prospect. Throw tool could improve with mechanical adjustments.

Cal Lambert, 2019, LHP, Sandra Day O'Connor HS
Uncommitted. Lambert is the top uncommitted 2019 arm in the state. Touched 87 with his fastball, sitting in the mid 80's, flashing a sharp curveball that projects as at least average. Loose hips can cause timing issues in delivery at times, but those are becoming more few and far between. Very clean arm action. Shows present strength in lower half with room get stronger in upper body.
