Uncommitted Spotlight: Seth Moore

Paul Panaccione
Arizona Scouting Director

We continue our coverage of uncommitted players, spotlighting them to help maximize their exposure and assist them in the recruiting process. Today, we look at one of the top uncommitted players in class of 2022, Seth Moore (Chandler).

Seth Moore 1B / 3B / Chandler, AZ / 2022

6-foot-1 215 pounds, Seth Moore has made himself a guy to follow in the 2022 class. With visible size and strength, Moore carries himself with confidence, and is at home when he's in the batters box. Moore has shown that his best tool is, and will be his bat. In August of 2021, Moore attended the Phoenix Summer Review, an open showcase to all high school grad classes, and took two eye opening rounds of batting practice, while posting event high statistics. Moore posted event highs in exit velocity, max distance, hand speed, and bat speed. Since then, we've been able to see Moore compete in game action. The tools translated to the game and he also showed plate discipline with a mature approach. Moore sets up strong in his legs and stays grounded. He showed the ability to stay on balls when beat out front, and showed a two strike approach that simplifies his swing, while still being able to get into balls. Moore will be a staple in the middle of Chandler High's order through the season, expected to put up high slugging numbers. Defensively, Moore has the ability to play a corner outfield spot at an average level. He moves well for his size, recorded a 6.73 in the 60 yard, and recorded an 82 mph velocity from the outfield. Overall, Moore could be one of the more intriguing bats left uncommitted in the 2022 class, and we are excited to continue following him through his senior season.
