Draft League Spotlight: Adam McKillican

David Seifert / Phil Kerber
Director of College Scouting / State Director - Georgia

Player: Adam McKillican
Position: RHP
School: Georgia Gwinnett

At 6-foot-5, 225-pounds, McKillican is surprisingly nimble and fields his position very well. He has a very calm demeanor on the mound and does not get rattled in the moment. Tall with long arms and legs on a lean frame with wide shoulders, McKIllican has an easy, repeatable delivery and low stress actions. He fires a lively fastball that sits 90-93 and touches 95. His change-of-pace is his go-to offspeed pitch. It has plus action with sink and fade. He has great feel and the confidence to throw in any count. McKillican’s curveball is still a work in progress as he is only 18 months post-op from Tommy John surgery, but he seems to be making advancements very quickly. So far this spring he has made six appearances out of the bullpen, earning two saves.
