Prospect Update: The uncommitted 2020 catcher trains with the Junior Dinos program in Calgary, AB during his offseason. He has been working hard to add size and strength to his athletic build, listed now at 6-foot-1, 165-pounds. He has also been trying to improve footspeed as he has made the move to the outfield when not behind the plate. His overall athleticism and quickness make this a good fit for Poole while the ability to play multiple positions will only help him when it comes to recruiting. 2019 Projection: Poole will be playing with the Dinos 18U ‘Black’ team who have pulled out of the Baseball Alberta NorWest league opting to play a tournament schedule instead. This should result in tougher competition for Poole as he looks to solidify himself as one of the top catchers in his class. He has continued to improve and fine tune his game over the past two years, 2019 should be a big year for Poole both at the Provincial and National levels. |
