Top 5 2020 Uncommitted Right-Handed Hitters

Willie Camacho Soto 3B / Coquitlam Reds, BC / 2020

Report: Camacho-Soto came out in a big way in the 2019 calendar year. Throughout all phases of competition, he batted at a very impressive .359 clip over just under 180 at bats. In his 138 at bats in the PBL last summer, Camacho-Soto slashed a .341/.439/.486 line, with 8 doubles, 3 triples and 2 homeruns. Many marvel most at his hyper-aggressive style of play, as when there is smoke, there’s Camacho-Soto. Often accredited as a sparkplug type player, Camacho-Soto led his Coquitlam Reds team with 17 stolen bases on 19 attempts and was among team leaders with recent Sacramento State signee, Giordano Mezzomo (Sacramento State) and fellow speedster, Luciano Letteri. Camacho-Soto continued his high-level impact level performance in the PBL playoffs, where he had an OPS of .976 and absolutely mashed at 2019’s BIGS Canada Cup (1.220 OPS, 5 Extra base hits in 20 ABs). He is a highly twitchy athletic type player, with some rough around the edge’s parts to his game. High potential talent here as he continues to get stronger and faster throughout his physical and mental growth. Projects well athletically, and although he fills a utility role now, could find himself patrolling a good CF in the future.
