Tournament 12 Day 2 Recap

PBR Canada Staff

Day 2 saw two games on the schedule with each team partaking in a showcase workout with 60’s, defensive work and batting practice. A jam packed day, we take a look at a few who stood out briefly with reports and videos to check out.

Full of uncommitted talent and recruiters dream, lots of uncommitted prospects with both Ontario teams, as well as our two other PBR provinces Alberta and British Columbia all squared off.

Read the reports and watch the videos below, also make sure to check out all of our T12 news by  clicking here.

Tournament 12 Day 2 Recap

Bryce Arnold SS / 2B / Blessed Trinity, ON / 2020

Report: 2020 shortstop Bryce Arnold showed off his twitchiness today, turning on an 88 mph fastball for a stand up triple to the left-centre field gap. The Fieldhouse product who commited to Campbell University following his performance at the Future Games has shown that he can handle velocity. There isn’t a ton of pop in his game, but he’s proven he can go gap-to-gap while playing a solid shortstop.

Dasan Brown OF / SS / Abbey Park, ON / 2019

Report: There’s no question Dasan Brown’s athleticism plays on the diamond. His sub-6.40 60 time translates to the bases, and defensively he’s a top-three outfielder in the country. But what impressed us the most were the strides he’s made with the bat. While it hasn’t quite caught up to game speed, Brown is showing consistent barrel feel in batting practice, and more of a knack to shoot the gaps. Was a 4.10 down the line, and made a great catch, coming in to his left and doubling off the runner at first.

Owen Diodati C / A.N. Myer, ON / 2019

Report: For the second consecutive day, 2019 catcher Owen Diodati went yard. A physical catcher out of the Great Lakes program, the Alabama-commit is picking up where he left off at the Canada Cup in Moncton, driving the ball with authority to his pull-side. A left-handed bat with power, Diodati’s bat stays through the zone, and it’s loud off the barrel.
