When looking at the 2016 class in Colorado one thing that stands out is the high end talent, and the high profile colleges that have recognized this with players already committing to colleges like North Carolina, Stanford, and Texas A&M. The No. 1 player in the 2016 class is North Carolina commit, Bo Weiss from Regis HS. A lot of people might ask how can you rank a player No.1 when he has yet to throw a pitch for his varsity team in the spring. That is how talented Regis Jesuit has been, and the 6-foot-2, 160-pound Weiss came on strong this summer and fall gaining national attention with a natural pitchers build and improving his velocity to over 90 mph. 

Coming in at No. 2 is Stanford commit, Maverick Handley from Mullen HS. It didn't take Handley long to show off his ability this summer and fall coming off a ankle injury that kept him out of the lineup his sophomore season. The 5-foot-10, 190-pound Handley has awesome power and is a very good throw and catch receiver.

The rest of the class is rounded out by two very polished pitchers in No. 3 RHP Jake Eissler of  ThunderRidge and No. 4 RHP Paul Tillotson of Lewis Palmer. Both pitchers are very similar. Both are 6-foot-2, 195-pounds. Both throw 88-90, both have the ability to throw three pitches for strikes at anytime in the count, and both are plus high school hitters. Rounding out the top 5 is another Regis Jesuit player OF Quin Cotton. When you watch Cotton play you ask what can he not do? Strong arm, can run, and has great bat speed that should translate into a potential draft pick out of high school.
