The Prep Baseball Report is the No. 1 resource for high school baseball in each state we cover through our variety of events, boots-on-the-ground scouting staff, daily coverage, and multimedia platforms. Our multimedia platforms and events work in tandem, ultimately creating the most powerful source of high school baseball promotion in each state. Scouting Report

4-19-18

Committed to Air Force. Currently ranked No. 18 in the Colorado 2019 class. 6-foot, 205 pounds. Stohr is a big, strong physical right-hander who throws his fastball in the mid-80's from a high, high 3/4 arm slot, almost an over the top delivery.  His large frame will allow him to grow physically and still maintain his athleticism. He throws a little bit across his body which allows him to hide the ball from the hitter and allows for his breaking ball to be very effective, as it was today.  At one point, he even exhibited a pause in his delivery, to disrupt the timing of the hitter.  His arm angle allows both his fastball and breaking ball to create some downward action on his pitches.  He pitched four complete innings today before being relieved in the the 5th. Fastball worked mainly at 83, touching 85. Stohr also was impressive at the plate where he hit a two run home run in the first followed by a three run home run in the third, followed by an intentional walk, and then a single that became a double on a misplay in the outfield.

2-25-18

6-foot-0, 205-pound RHP/3B. Wide frame, Right handed pitcher. Drop and drive delivery, shoulders uphill, in line directionally, lands in line and falls off a bit on the his finish. High ¾ arm slot, short arm action, wraps at times, good arm speed, regular effort. Fastball, slight arm side run action, sat 83-85 mph. Curve showed tight spin and late 11/5 break and sat 67-68 mph. Changeup, maintains fastball arm speed, faded, ranged from 69-72 mph.

5-4-17

5-foot-11, 175 pounds. Compact square delivery. Was on today taking no-hitter into 6th inning against a good Bear Creek team. Ended up giving up one hit. Four-seam fastball was 83-84 mph touching 85. Also threw a 2-seamer that had good arm-side run between 80-82 mph. Curve had late break at 72-73 mph. Did a good job of commanding both sides of the plate. Gets the ball and goes. Good pace. Good prospect.
