The Prep Baseball Report is the No. 1 resource for high school baseball in each state we cover through our variety of events, boots-on-the-ground scouting staff, daily coverage, and multimedia platforms. Here is a look at the action from around the state.

Monarch 9 Rocky Mountain 3
Visiting Monarch took it to the Lobos on Tuesday.  Trailing 3 to 0 going into the top of the 3rd, Monarch started putting things together by scoring 3 in the 4rd, adding another 4 in the 4th, and then 2 more in the 6th.  2020 Nate Leash did all the damage for Monarch, he went 3 for 4, hit 2 long balls, and had 7 RBI’s, on the mound 2019 Zach Given did a great job throwing a complete game with 11 strikeouts. 

Cherry Creek 5 Smoky Hill 2
After losing on Saturday in the first game of a two game set, Cherry Creek came out and got the win on Tuesday.  The only 2 runs they gave up came in the top of the first inning.  2019 Navy commit  Nathan Mitchell was on the mound for the Bruins and had a great game going 7 innings, allowing just those 2 runs and struck out 5 Buffaloes.  At the plate for the Bruins, 2019 Regis University commit Alec Adolph was 2 for 2 with an RBI.

Heritage 6 Regis 5
Regis took a 4 to 2 lead going into the top of the 5th, and that is when Heritage got after it and scored 4 runs to take the lead 6 to 4.  Regis in the bottom of the 7th tried coming back but was only able to put up 1 run.  Heritage was led by 2020 Cam Sisneros who was 2 for 4 with 4 RBI’s, and on the mound 2019 University of Seattle commit Pete Chronowski did a great job going 6 innings allowing 3 earned runs and striking out 2 Raiders.

Dakota Ridge 3 Arvada West 2
Dakota Ridge pitcher 2019 Alvin CC commit Elliot Pigati did an outstanding job on Tuesday going 6 innings allowing just 4 hits, 1 earned run to go along with 10 strikeouts.  At the dish for Dakota Ridge 2019 Ben Biffinger was 1 for 3 with 2 RBI’s. 

ThunderRidge 4 Fairview 3
Starting in the top of the first the Grizzlies came out hot scoring 2 runs, but Fairview answered in the bottom of the first by scoring their only runs of the game.  Thunderridge added 1 in the 2nd and 1 in the 3rd and that is all it took.  Pitcher 2019 Will Braaton did a great job throwing a complete game, allowing just 6 hits and had 4 strikeouts.  2021 LSU commit Cale Lansville had a great day at the plate going 3 for 4 with 2 RBI’s. 

Longmont 7 Windsor 3
Longmont scored their 7 runs in the first two innings, and that was all it took on Tuesday.  Longmont was led by, 2019 Grant Gulon who was 2 for 4 with 2 RBI’s and 2019 Ryan James who was 1 for 2 with 2 RBI’s.  Windsor’s 2019 AJ Hansen had a good game at the plate going 2 for 2 with 2 RBI’s.

Cheyenne Mountain 19 Sand Creek 0
Cheyenne Mountain got all over Sand Creek on Tuesday.  The Indians were led by 2021 Brad Helton who was 2 for 4 with 3 RBI’s and a homerun, and 2020 Grant Mondejar was 4 for 4 with 4 RBI’s.  Both Grant and Brad shared the pitching duties combined they allowed just 2 hits and had 9 strikeouts.

Eaglecrest 7 Cherokee Trail 4
Cherokee Trail came out hot in the bottom of the 1st inning putting up 3 runs, but then in the 3rd inning Eaglecrest scored 2 and then another 5 in the 4th and went on to win the game 7 to 4.  Eaglecrest was led by 2019 Joey Garduno who was 2 for 3 with 4 RBI’s.  For Cherokee Trail 2021 Beau Baldensperger was 2 for 3 with a homerun.  

Arapahoe 5 Mullen 3
Mullen was leading the game 2 to 0 after 2 innings, but then Arapahoe scored 1 run in each of the last 5 innings to win their league game on Tuesday.  For Arapahoe 2019 Cooper Marks was 2 for 3 with an RBI and 2020 Cole Bloomer was also 2 for 3 with and RBI.  On the mound 2019 Max Wilson did a good job going 5.2 innings allowing just 2 earned runs and 6 strikeouts.

Fort Collins 6 Horizon 2
Fort Collins came out swinging it in the bottom of the 2nd scoring 4 runs and never looked back in beating Horizon on Tuesday.  Pitching for Fort Collins was 2019 K. Voggesser who went 6 innings allowing just 2 runs and had 9 strikeouts.  At the plate for the Lambkins 2020 University of Virginia commit Colby Shade was 2 for 4 with 2 RBI’s and 2020 Hayden Iverson was 1 for 3 with 2 RBI’s.
