The Prep Baseball Report is the No. 1 resource for high school baseball in each state we cover through our variety of events, boots-on-the-ground scouting staff, daily coverage, and multimedia platforms. Daily Roundup:

Heritage 8 Rock Canyon 7
With Heritage leading the game 4 to 1 after 2 innings, Rock Canyon in the top of the 3rd put up 5 runs, and took the lead, but only briefly in the bottom of the 3rd Heritage put up a run, and then in the 4th scored another 2 runs, to lead the game 8 to 6.  In the 5th both teams scored the final runs of the game, with each scoring 1 run.  Heritage was led by, Conner Cummiskey (2020) who was 2 for 3 with a home run and 2 RBI’s and Alex Champagne (2021) who went 2 for 4 with 2 RBI’s.  For Rock Canyon, Justin Petterle was 1 for 3 with 2 RBI’s. 

Cherokee Trail 8 Douglas County 7
Even though the Huskies out hit the Cougars 12 to 7, the Cougars were able to pull out a close one on Wednesday afternoon.  Douglas County’s Lucas Degarmo (2018) was 3 for 4 with 3 RBI’s and AJ Osborn (2018) was 2 for 3, with 2 RBI’s and a jack. 

Valor 8 Golden 6
Valor scored 2 in the bottom of the first and never trailed in this game on Wednesday.  Valor’s big players of the game were Rafe Kinder (2019) who was 4 for 4 with 2 RBI’s and Brady Buehler (2018) who was 1 for 2, with 2 RBI’s and a long ball.  For Golden, Max Allen (2018) was 1 for 4 with 2 RBI’s.  

Legacy 18 Fossil Ridge 7
Legacy was trailing 7 to 6 going into the top of the 5th inning and then just exploded scoring 12 runs in the top of the 5th, and then shutdown Fossil Ridge in the bottom of the 5th to win on Wednesday.  Fossil Ridge was led by, Nic Gidley (2018) who was 2 for 2, scoring 2 runs, and driving in a pair of runs.  For Legacy, Chase Esplin (2020) was 2 for 3 with 3 RBI’s and a home run, and Mccully Sehr (2021) who was 3 for 4, scored 2 runs and drove in another 2.  

Ponderosa 3 Chaparral 2
Ponderosa scored their 3 runs in the bottom of the 3rd inning and held on to win Wednesday at their home field.  Pitching for the Mustangs was, Tyler Shelley (2019) who went 6.1 innings allowing 5 hits, 2 earned run, and struck out 10 Chaparral hitters.   

Evergreen 10 Littleton 2
Evergreen scored 5 runs in the top of the second and never looked back beating Littleton on their home field Wednesday.  Evergreen’s big player was Ben Muscatello (2018) who was 3 for 5 with 3 RBI’s.  

Regis 4 ThunderRidge 3
Thunderridge was down 3 to 1 going into the bottom of the 6th, when Jake Porter (2019) stepped up and hit a long ball to right field to tie the game 3 to 3.  In the top of the 8th, after a questionable call on a hit batter, the Regis Raiders were able to push across a run.  In the bottom of the 8th, Taylor White (2018) lead off with a single, and then Jake Haze (2018) roped a triple, trying to score from 1st, White was thrown out at the plate, and with the tying run on 3rd with 1 out, relied pitcher Aidan O’donnell (2019) struck out the next 2 hitters for ThunderRidge.   

Legend 17 Highlands Ranch 8
Legend scored two runs in the bottom of the 2nd and then put a 10 spot on Highlands Ranch in the bottom of the third and never looked back in their home victory.  For Legend, Justin Boyd (2019) had a monster day going 3 for 4, scoring 3 runs, driving in 4 RBI’s and also hit 2 home runs.  

Mountain Vista 8 Castle View 4
Mountain Vista keeps on rolling through the state, their latest victim being Castle View on Wednesday.  For Mountain Vista, Zach Paschke (2018), Sam Ireland (2018), and Drew Stahl (2019) each one hit a home run.  

Wheat Ridge 12 Standley Lake 9
The Farmers get a big league win and were led by Peyton Dietrich who went 2-3 with 3 RBI and Westin Miller who was 2-2 with 2 runs scored.
